News and Upcoming School Events

Yonsei Martial Arts Academy has many upcoming events for our students and school families. Refer to this page to find out about upcoming tournaments, promotion testing, school functions and other school related information.

We will also be posting news bulletins or other pertinent information regarding the school, its students, its instructors, or the Master. The calendar will also list these items as well. Make sure you print out the school calendar each month for easy reference.

Graduation Forms Due  8/26/10
If you are graduating this month, your form and fee are due today. After today, there is a $10.00 late fee.

Adult Graduation  8/27/10  (7:30 PM - 8:15 PM)
Adults graduating this month will graduate on this day at 7:30pm.

Children's Graduation  8/28/10  (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
Children graduating in August will graduate on this day.

T-Shirt Summer Ends  9/1/10
You are to wear your Yonsei uniform jacket with your pants in class until next June except during Spotlight Week. You may wear your Yonsei T-shirts or jacket during Spotlight Week each month.

Labor Day Holiday - No Classes September 3-6  9/3/10  (12:00 AM)
The school is closed for Labor Day. Have a safe weekend!

Classes Resume  9/7/10  (12:00 PM - 8:15 PM)
Classes Resume today! Welcome to the new school year! Train focused in class to become that awesome black belt you know you can be!

Grappling Seminar  9/8/10  (6:45 PM - 8:15 PM)
We will have this seminar every 2nd Wednesday of the month unless otherwise stated. Come and have a fun educational time learning beginning to advanced offensive and defensive grappling self-defense techniques. This class is for adults and all Black Belt students.

Spotlight Week 9/13-18  9/13/10  (3:45 PM - 8:15 PM)
This is Spotlight Week. Make sure you have your class attendance and know your material to earn your progress tip.

Parents' Night Out  9/18/10  (7:00 PM - 10:00 PM)
Parents can drop their children off for a night on the town and kids can come here and have a great time playing games and eating pizza. Everything kicks off at 7:00pm and ends promptly at 10:00pm. The cost is $15.00 for each child attending.

Graduation Forms are Due  9/23/10
If you are graduating this month, your forms and belt fee are due today. After today, there is a $10.00 late charge.

Adult Graduation  9/24/10  (7:30 PM - 8:15 PM)
Adults graduating this month will graduate this evening at this time.

We will have regular classes today.

Children's Graduation  9/25/10  (10:00 AM - 11:00 AM)
Children graduating this month, should come to the school at this time for graduation.

There are NO regular classes this day.

Buddy Night  9/28/10  (6:00 PM - 6:45 PM)
All children students, youth and little eagles, can bring a friend to this special fun class.

Only students who bring a friend should come to this class. All other beginning students should attend a different class this day or another day in the week.
